Baton Rouge--April 30, 2009--Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge is preparing to respond to the needs of our community in the event a Pandemic Flu strikes. The leadership team has reviewed the agency's Incident Management Plan traditionally activated before a hurricane strike. While much of the structure of the Plan remains in place, staff modified the plan to reflect a potential pandemic. Currently, we are monitoring the situation, maintaining contact with our national CCUSA Disaster Response team, and working to identify vulnerabilities within the organization, our diocese and our community.
