Catholic Charities Hosts Supply Drive for Hurricanes Milton & Helene Survivors

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge (CCDBR) is hosting a one-day, item-specific drive on Monday, October 28 in response to Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene. The drive will be held at the Westerfield Center at 1800 S. Acadian Thruway, Baton Rouge, LA 70808 from 9 AM – 6 PM.

CCDBR will be accepting the following items to deliver to areas in Florida that have been impacted:

  • $25 Visa gift cards
  • Adult diapers
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Cleaning supplies

“We’ve been in touch with Catholic Charities agencies serving the impacted area, and these are the currently needed items,” said Stephanie Sterling, CCDBR executive director. “South Louisiana is no stranger to hurricanes and the devastation they cause, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to help our neighbors in Florida.”

CCDBR will transport the collected items to a warehouse in Florida where local Catholic Charities agencies will distribute them as needed.
