The Louisiana Office for Refugees is designated by the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to administer the state refugee resettlement program. Funded by ORR, the Louisiana Office of Refugees helps refugees statewide access cash and medical assistance, initial medical screenings, employment, social adjustment services, and English language training to achieve self-sufficiency.
